5-6 wings is enough FAT for the entire day.

Trans fats from the frying......plus the fat from the chicken skin.

HORRIBLE STUFF!

The healthiest way to eat wings is without the skin and to have them grilled rather than fried in oil.

Frying them in partially hydrogenated oil and eating the chicken skin is the double-whammy.

Must admit though, do love them.............especially with beer.

What sucks is many watering holes in Tampa have great specials on wings with pitchers of beer and sometimes it is hard to turn down. Never had this crap in Vegas but find myself doing so here every 2 months or so.

Posted this thread as I believe the majority of people that eat buffalo wings do not realize just how disgustingly bad they are for ones health...........and in fact, many think they are actually eating healthy because it is chicken and they are eating no carbs.

Fact is, as mentioned above, not many food items that are more detrimental for ones overall health.

As with most Meat, its the Fat that carries the flavour. The trick is to over-ride the natural taste of the Fat with spices especially hot ones like Black Pepper. You can then use healthier cuts, in this case Gougons (the fillets from the underside of Chicken breasts) grilled or oven baked, salt although unhealty in large doses also masks fat flavour. :drink:
